Follow Spot Operator on Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2017

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an annual series of military tattoos performed by British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and international military bands, and artistic performance teams on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle in the capital of Scotland. The event is held each August as one of the Edinburgh Festivals.

My role for this event was follow spot operator. The lighting rig for The Royal Edinburgh Tattoo was made up of the PRG Best Boys and Vari-Lite VL3500 Wash. The PRG Bad Boys can be used as a follow spot with a set of features controlled locally and some controlled via the lighting network and remote operation, where the operator uses a monitor and control system to operate the light remotely.
